Robert Allen Mansfield is a candidate for the Governor of Pennsylvania in 2010.
Entering the race as an outsider, he feels an obligation to seek the office of Governor in order to return control to the people of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania. Having served the United States faithfully in Iraq he has returned to bring back clarity and honor to the Pennsylvania Capitol. With Pennsylvania’s financial house in shambles, Robert sees how the government has grown out of control. The original vision set forth by
our Founders in the Constitution has been either ignored or purposely
forgotten. As Thomas Jefferson once stated “Every government
degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people
themselves are its only safe depositories”. Together we must work to
take back our state and our country from those who wish only to profit
from its seats of power. Government service means that government
serves the people.
We must bring back a
government that is for the people by the people. The era of government
handouts to cronies and family members will come to an end under his
watch. The focus of our elected officials will get back to the intended
purpose which is running the government. The days of making re-election
the only priority will end under my watch.
Sergeant Mansfield does not fit well within the parties expectation for
a candidate in that he doesn’t follow the party line lockstep. He
does follow the Constitution and answer to only one special interest
group, the citizens of the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It has
been made clear, that he must create a new path so that each citizen is
heard in Harrisburg. It is not in his nature or the nature, which has
been instilled in him, to quit because something is difficult. Because
it is those most difficult tasks which are the most important.
