Friends, supporters, colleagues, and countrymen,
In 2005-- once again choking up as I recited my oath to the United States for the second time-- I made a solemn commitment to support and defend its constitution against all enemies-- both foreign and domestic. Unfortunately, shortly following my tour in Iraq, due to a medical diagnosis, my military service was cut short. Nevertheless, I fervently believe that I have a personal responsibility to fulfill my service to the people of United States.
That is why I am announcing my candidacy for U.S. House of Representatives, representing the 2nd district of Pennsylvania. In 2005, I signed a contract with the United States, and I am fervently committed to honoring that contract.
I served in the U.S. military (PA National Guard; US Army) from 1996-2010 and am an Iraq War Veteran. I have over eighteen years of experience in the financial sector, operating two small businesses that specialized in commercial financing. I have been publicly speaking throughout the nation for over twenty years-- discussing and promoting veterans affairs, "American Exceptionalism", and the meaning of personal responsibility. I am also a devout man of God, a devoted family member, and a dedicated mentor.
My friends, I am announcing my candidacy because our family-- the 2nd congressional district-- needs help.
This campaign is not about me, Robert Allen Mansfield, but rather-- the men, women, and children of the United States. However, I have no hands but your hands and I have no feet but your feet-- the decision to act is yours. That is why it is incumbent upon us all to get involved and take a serious stance for what is right-- that is why our mission must continue...
I will be your voice-- the voice of the people; but I need your help. Please stand with me and help deliver a new hope to our nation and commonwealth by donating to our cause today! God Bless you all and God bless America!
"Sola gratia-- sola fide-- solus Christus-- sola scriptura-- soli Deo gloria."
"Grace alone-- faith alone-- Christ alone-- scripture alone-- to God be the glory."
Forever yours,
Sgt. Robert Allen Mansfield (Iraq War Veteran) (U.S. Army Retired)
